The two types of fiber you need to add to your diet

The world of dietary fiber has expanded dramatically.

Since then, experts have learned a great deal about how the 300,000 fiber-rich plants in the soil help heal everything from our gut microbiome boosting immunity to our battle with the bath scales.

While national daily recommendations are set at 21 to 25 grams per day for women, most experts believe we actually need extra fiber – close to 35 grams. And new research reveals that an even better gauge than grams is the variety (or variety) of fiber we get in our system.

Will Bulsiewicz, MD, author of Fiber Fueled, says, “Consuming 30 different fiber-rich foods a week is ideal.” The problem: “About 97 percent of us are not getting even the minimum fiber.”

Fiber is the key to a whole body change: It helps stabilize insulin, eliminates cravings, supports digestion and removes fat. In fact, it has been found that fiber accumulation helps people revitalize their metabolism by 30 percent and lose weight 44 percent faster!

Women’s health expert Anna Cabeca, DO, says: “Fiber is a nutritional miracle. “And we need it now more than ever.” Especially since the pandemic has led to an increased stress consumption of simple carbohydrates that have been stripped of fiber in the production process.

Here are two different types of fiber we need:

Soluble fiber works to stabilize blood sugar.
Found in nuts, seeds, oats, dried beans, apples, strawberries and peas, soluble fiber forms a gel that slows digestion to help us absorb nutrients from food.

Insoluble fibers detoxify the liver

Found in cereals, plus the skins of fruits and vegetables, indigestible fibers accumulate feces by drawing water into it to make passage easier. In the process, this raw food also collects toxins that block fat and block the liver.
